Soouvenir prints photobooks and photo magazines in Nepal and delivers them to your door across Kathmandu Valley: Kathmandu, Lalitpur (Patan) and Bhaktapur. You make your book online, see the delivery date before you pay, and receive a book that has been printed, bound and checked by hand. Here's how delivery works and what to expect.
Does Soouvenir deliver photobooks in Kathmandu?
Yes. Soouvenir delivers printed photobooks and magazines across Kathmandu Valley, including Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur. Kathmandu Valley is where we are starting, and delivery will expand to more of Nepal after that. Everyone on the waitlist hears first when we reach a new area.
That covers the neighbourhoods most of the Valley lives in, from Baneshwor, Baluwatar and Budhanilkantha to Kalanki, Kirtipur and Koteshwor, from Jawalakhel, Pulchowk and Satdobato in Lalitpur to Suryabinayak and Thimi near Bhaktapur. If you are unsure whether we reach your address, contact us and we will tell you.
How long does photobook delivery take in Kathmandu Valley?
A Soouvenir book takes a few days from order to door. Every book is printed, bound and checked by hand before it leaves us, and that is worth a little time. You will see your delivery date before you pay, so you can plan around a wedding, a festival or a flight.
Compare that with ordering a photobook from a website abroad, where international shipping and customs clearance can take weeks and add costs you only see when the parcel arrives.
How is my book packed?
Every Soouvenir book is packed with card corners, so it arrives looking exactly as it did when it left us. Kathmandu roads, monsoon rain and dust are hard on parcels, so we pack for them.
Can I send a photobook as a gift to someone in Kathmandu?
Yes. You can make the book yourself and send it to any address in Kathmandu Valley, such as a parent's home in Lalitpur, a friend's flat in Kathmandu or grandparents in Bhaktapur. It's a simple way to send something personal for Dashain, Tihar, a birthday or an anniversary. See photobook gifts that people actually keep.
Can I order from abroad and have it delivered in Nepal?
Yes. Because Soouvenir works in any browser, a son in Sydney, a daughter in Doha or a cousin in London can make a book from their own photos and have it delivered to family in Kathmandu Valley. For many Nepali families abroad, a printed book is a much warmer way to share a new baby, a wedding or a graduation than another photo in a group chat.
Can I order more than one copy?
Yes. When you order you choose the number of copies, and extra copies make great gifts. A common choice is one wedding book for the couple and a copy for each set of parents, or a baby book for each grandparent.
What if something is wrong with my book when it arrives?
Tell us and we will make it right. A real person checks every book before it leaves us, but if anything slips through, such as a damaged corner or a printing fault, we want to know. Write to us through the contact page with a photo of the problem.
When will Soouvenir deliver outside Kathmandu Valley?
Kathmandu Valley comes first, and more of Nepal comes next. We will announce new delivery areas to the waitlist first. Read more about our plans in Soouvenir across Nepal.
